The mission of the Chico Sustainability Group is to explore, support, and inspire practices and activities that ensure a prosperous, healthy community where people and nature thrive harmoniously, now and in the future.

If you believe that a solid understanding of nature can improve our quality of life while creating sustainable business opportunity, you have come to the right place. We want this site to be an open dialog of ideas and solutions to help us improve our community for ourselves and for our future generations.

We have created a number of articles with discussion pages. This site will grow and change with each person's input. This site is built on the same foundation as Wikipedia. If you have an expertise in a particular area, please feel free to add to this site. If you wish to create your own article and discussion please do so.

Butte-Glenn Community College District is pleased to announce the opening of registration for the This way to Sustainability Conference III, The Built Environment to be held August 3rd and 4th, 2007 at Butte College main campus, 3536 Butte Campus Drive, Oroville, CA 95965.www.butte.edu/sustainability.


Butte County General Plan Citizens Advisory Committee Meetings November 16th from 5:00pm to 9:00pm December 7th from 5:00pm to 9:00pm.

Both meetings will be held at the Butte College cafeteria (main college). Please check the website at http://www.buttegeneralplan.net for the DRAFT agenda and directions. Butte County staff, the Board of Supervisors sub-committee and the consultant team, Design Community and Environment (DC&E), are looking forward to meeting with you all. After these two initial kick-off meetings we anticipate setting the schedule for the eight major public workshops to be hosted by the Citizens Advisory Committee. The first public workshop is tentatively scheduled for March 2007.
